UMF® is a registered name and trademark of the Active Manuka Honey Association (AMHA) of New Zealand. The trademark can only be used by licensees who met the stringent and criteria set by AMHA for production, testing, bottling, labelling and marketing of the UMF® Manuka Honey. AMHA also carries out regular audit and monitoring the quality of honey produced by licensee.

UMF Manuka honey packed and produced by a New Zealand company licensed to use the name UMF® is the only guarantee that the UMF Manuka Honey has special health benefiting property and be of the same quality as those used in research and clinical trails.
